In the City of Widows, Be a Light of Hope
Each year on International Widows Day (June 23, 2025), we pause to remember and respond to the deep needs of millions of women who have lost their spouses—and often, their place in society. In Vrindavan, India, known heartbreakingly as the “City of Widows,” over 10,000 women live abandoned, isolated, and unseen.
But you can help change that.
This June, we are launching our Beacon of Hope Campaign to raise $10,000—symbolizing the 10,000 widows living in Vrindavan.
Your gift will be specifically designated for our Senior Support Services for elderly widows in Vrindavan—many of whom are nearing the end of life without family, care, or support. You’ll provide food, hygiene items, medical attention, and emotional connection for women who have nowhere else to turn.
For many widows in Vrindavan, the later years of life feel like drifting alone in a storm.
But through your gift, you become a lighthouse—a beacon of safety and care for women longing to be seen, supported, and valued.
